Most of my time on the water is spent in an 11-foot, flat-bottomed fiberglass pirogue, and out in the marshes, there are ‘gators longer than the boat. They usually sink down in the water if anyone gets close, but this one held his ground, and watched me as I fished the grass line next to him.
