“What Remains”
Seven years after his death, my grandfather’s (Pappaw’s) collection of tools, scrap and yard sale finds remain mostly untouched. Neighbors and family have started sorting through the rest of the house, claiming keepsakes in the wake of Mammaw’s recent passing, but soon this will all be cleared out, the house will be sold, and all that will remain are memories and a handful of photographs. Captured as part of a personal story on a journey back to Shreveport with the family.
