In June, 2010, we started kicking around ideas for a summer project. We wanted a new way to the tell the story of our community, so we created a series of photo challenges and called it Picture Fresno. Each week (okay, it's more like every other week), we announce a new theme, and a panel of judges—professional photographers, artists, community leaders—rate the submissions on creativity, relevance to the theme, and aesthetic quality.
